Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore Log Slide N46° 39.47' W86° 07.10' Alger Co. MI.   At the west end of Grand Sable Dunes just before Au Sable Point is the area know as Log Slide. Many springs in this area carry sand out to form the beach under cutting the hill and causing slides. There is an overlook that can be accessed by road off of CR-58 out of Grand Marais.
