At the south end of Torch lake is a large sandbar and the entrance to Torch River,
which flows south into Lake Skegemog. The sandbar is a popular spot in the summer months.

Entering Torch River you
will see a public access area on the west shore where you can
launch a fair size boat. Take it slow as you enter the river
and navigate under the Cherry St. bridge and through town.
You can have heavy boat traffic in the summer months.
