Holy Island Island is connected to the main land by a small bridge on the west side shown in the bottom photo. The area here and to the east side of the island has a rocky bottom and sporadic weeds with good smallmouth and walleye fishing & early season browns. The shallow flats to the south and west of the island is about the most productive area around the island. I like to troll spinner rigs slowly around the drop.
