The view top left is what you will see as you approach the
west end of the channel from Crooded Lake heading east.
The western entrance to the channel is
marked by a single green marker.
Two feet south,
right from the direction shown here, runs a large sand bar that will
come up fast to 1 foot. Stay to the north side of the marker.
I have pulled many stuck boats off the sand over the years here. It is a good place to
anchor off the side and swim. When you pass this
marker headed out into the lake do not turn south right away,
the sand bar runs a few hundred yards out from Oden Island's north-west shore.
