Hi all, well the blacks are all but done around here, but the white are just starting. This last weekend was a mixed bag, some people didn’t find any and some found a few and some found a lot, but I suppose that’s why they call it mushroom hunting, not mushroom picking. 5-8-08 one of my staffs brother found 8 lbs and 5-9-08 he found 7lbs. Me, I haven’t done so well. A week ago I found 50 in an hour and haven’t found any since, but I have only looked for about another hour. I’m hoping to go look for some white this week. I have a few good spots to check out, that have a lot of white ash tree and those white morels love white ash and apple trees. They are forecasting some rain and temps in the seventies this week, so this will be a great week to take the family Mushrooming.
