2011 ALL-4 MICHIGAN FALL RIDE by DMG, page 2
|
You can see the first half of the ride in the video here to the left.
The colors were at there peak and although it was a little hot for my taste
you could not ask for better riding weather for October. We did have one breakdown
about 5 miles east of Wolverine, but our tech, Fred Hollerback Jr, had the side by back on the trail
and ready to finish the route in no time. The first thing I did when I reached the Wolverine Township Park was to pull
off my riding boots and soak my feet in the cold water of the Sturgeon River. Ahhh!

Both ride groups met up for lunch at the park around noon and the parking was full of
every brand and type of OHV on the market. I was surprised to see so many side by sides.
Two years ago there where 6 on our ride, two years later there was about 60 of them.
The Wolverine Lions club was serving lunch under the pavilion and had everyone fed
and ready to go in very good time. At 1:00 pm both groups lined back up and headed out
for the second leg of the 100 mile route.
