Hi Everyone, we just had one of our double Lake Front rooms ($79 a night with a three day minimum), become available for Labor Day weekend, call soon or they will be gone. We did get some rain Aug 6 and 7th and this should knock down the dust for the rest of this week and maybe for the weekend if the traffic is light. I was told the groomers should be out late Aug 7th to smooth the trails out, but I have not been out this week to check. How about this for a thought. Wouldn’t it be nice to ride your ATV to get a burger, or ride to get a gallon of milk or even ride from town to town, like you can with a snowmobile or car? Well this is where we need your help. This is the latest on riding on the shoulders of the county roads in Lake County. It passed the House of Representatives, Senate sub committee, Senate and the Governor signed the bill and it’s now law. But the counties still have to pass their own ordinance. So this is what I need for you to do. Call the Lake County Board of Commissioners and tell them your thoughts on allowing ORV’s to ride on the shoulders of the Lake County roads. This will be a great thing for the state and the county and all that visit our area. Their phone numbers are listed on the Lake County Chamber of Commerce web site and these are the numbers as they are listed there.
LAKE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISIONERS: (231) 745-6231
District 1 David Randall (231) 832-9525
District 2 Larry Collier (231) 832-4267
District 3 Kenneth Wenzel (231) 797-5744
District 4 Nicolette McClure (231) 745-9549
District 5 Phillip Maiville (231) 266-5704
District 6 James Clark (231) 266-5838
District 7 Leona Schwartz (231) 745-2946
District 8 Mary Lemm (231) 745-2362
District 9 Bob Myers (231) 898-2332
We have great trails for the ATV’s to ride and they are the Little O Trail (46 miles), Tin Cup Springs Trail (21 miles of 50” trails and 21 miles of 72” trails) are a hoot to ride. The Little Manistee Trail (46 miles of 50” trails and 46 miles of 72” trails) and the Lincoln Hills Trail (21 miles of 50” trails and 21 miles of 72” trails) are groomed in the winter for snowmobiles, so please don't tear them up. Please stay off of the snowmobile only trails with your ATV's and trucks, it mess's them up and you will get a ticket. In all, there is 222 miles of ATV, ORV trails plus the single tracks for the Dirt Bikes, which I believe is around 88 miles. That’s 310 miles of dirty fun.
We do have a few mid week rooms available Aug 12th through Aug 21 and the weekend of Aug 22nd and 23rd we do have a couple rooms left.. We do have one single motel room left for Labor Day weekend. We do have ATV’s & Boats available for all the weekend and weekdays with a few exceptions so just call and we can tell you the available dates.
I CAN'T SAY THIS ENOUGH, WEEKDAY RIDING IS THE BEST.
