January 21, 2025 Very Cold and Snowy   Arctic cold and a west wind has brought decent Lake Effect snow to the western lower and northern U.P. 6 to 16 inches in the west lower and similar amounts in the U.P. The very cold temps has all the wet spots frozen and groomers have been running. Best snow in the lower is the NW corner, I have 16 inches of new snow here in southern Emmet. In the U.P. from the Soo to Marquette and the far western end have also received new snow. The temps get back to normal by the weekend but stay below freezing so the snow will stick around with more in the forecast. Should be a good week to ride!
