COUNTY MARINA is located at 1080 N. Huron Street and has 84 slips with gas and electrical hook-up, pump-out, laundry, showers,
telephones, grocery and beverage delivery, fresh water, walking distance to town,
Gordon Turner Park
with sandy beaches and picnic areas, cable TV, night security and
even a casino shuttle. Docking is also available along the
Cheboygan River.
Sixty years ago, the federal government excavated a turning basin in the mouth of the Cheboygan River to accomodate large lake vessels entering the Cheboygan harbor.
Today, that basin is the home of the Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw. The Mackinaw has been stationed in Cheboygan since 1944 and this year it celebrates 56 years of history with the area.
When it is docked, tours are available Monday through Friday 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Please call ahead to make sure tours are available. 231-627-3181
