4th Of July House Boating On Burt Lake   By the Castmaster  Pg. 10

That night from the top deck we could see fireworks around the lake and around the countryside. While Burt Lake glimmered with shoreline displays the skies in every direction glowed with brilliant colors. Petoskey and Harbor Springs to the west, Mackinaw and Cheboygan to the north, and what looked like Wolverine to the southeast. It was quite a show that 4th of July night, one I would remember. By the end of the display Megan and Casey were out like a light on the front couch and the rest of us were not far behind. A quick shower and down for the count.

The next morning after breakfast and a boat ride to a lonely beach we started slowly packing as we grilled up everything we could eat. I loaded my boat and packed the truck over the afternoon feast. We had a great time over the past few days and the houseboat really made the difference. Food, beds, hot shower, everything you needed with you where ever you decided to spend the day. I know we will be doing this again, and for those who like the water, this is definitely the way to go. We would like to thank Windjammer Marina for the use of their houseboat and recommend you give them a call for your next adventure. Until next time, have fun, be safe, Dave G.
