We spent the rest of the afternoon at a few beaches and a secluded lagoon
soaking up some sun and watching the world go by. The weather was fantastic
and the blue water of Lake Charlevoix was keeping us cooooooool! There are still a lot
of nice areas to stop along the way and it's a big lake. No matter how many
boats are out you can still find space to be alone.
After a long day on the water Neila and I headed
to a slip at the East Jordan Marina to watch some of the activities in
the adjacent Memorial Park. There are craft booths, concession stands,
Jet ski rides and a downtown carnival to name a few. After the Grand Parade live entertainment starts
up in the park and the crowd starts to settle in for the evening. We had dinner
in one of the local taverns before we sat back at the dock to listen to the sounds
of the day.
